...and a Little Bit of Advice

Here are books and Internet websites helpful when considering this lifestyle. At least they were to me. There are many issues that'll come up during your journey and these resources can be good for clearing your mind. They can help to get your thoughts straight, so you are able to ask meaningful questions of a mentor. These might also help you to not waste your money or time on cheap, worthless equipment. Junk is everywhere, get the good stuff or make toys yourself.

Please try to steer clear of Internet chat rooms. I've found many examples of these being hangouts for liars, fakes and masturbators behind the computer screen, wasting my time. These places are where "wannabes" hang out and dispense potentially dangerous or misleading information. You have no idea who these people really are or what their real life experiences have been. These people fill your mind with protocols and theories with no useful meaning in the real world.

When you gather the courage and want to meet real people interested in similar things as you, go to a local munch. Meet real people. The first munch I was taken to changed my life forever. I found that day I was not alone in my dreams. Here I was, a room full of normal looking men and women who had a true kinship to me. No, I didn't talk to everyone. In fact, I spoke very little, aside from introducing myself and talking with my host. But, I did listen. The Story of O is fantasy. A munch is real.

I have come a long way on my personal journey since the day "24kphoenix" brought me out into the light of our community. Many of those same people are now my friends. Since then, we have created a vibrant Vancouver Munch that many of us now call our home munch. This munch is what it is because of the fine community leadership of "NWCowboy". His efforts have been locally awarded and typify the saying, "If you want a task done right, give it to a busy man". He is a tireless, generous pervert, who will get a twinkle in his eye at your cute blush.
